Anne McCaffery’s Pern series is an interesting series. This review only deals with Dragonquest and it’s direct sequel Dragonflight.
Dragonquest is the story of Lessa, F’lar and their dragon partners. Dragonflight follows F’nor and Brekke – once again with the draconic partners.
The books were pretty straight forward, if not a bit confusing at times. They were an okay read the first time around, not so much the second time.
If you like dragon stories read this pair with an open mind. My guess is this book needs a child’s imagination for any enjoyment.
